Important data securely protected
Touch ID turns your fingerprint into your password. Use your fingerprint to instantly access protected documents, notes and system settings. You can also complete your online purchases with Apple Pay with just a touch of your finger. You don't need to enter any shipping or billing information, and your credit card details are never shared. The Secure Enclave coprocessor integrated in the M2 chip is the basis for important security functions and creates security at the hardware level. Among other things, it manages the Touch ID data and enables real-time encryption of all data stored on the SSD.
Keyboard and Force Touch trackpad
The Magic Keyboard was installed in the latest generation of the MacBook Air. The revised scissor mechanism has a key stroke of 1 mm, so you can type directly, comfortably and quietly. The custom LED backlight and ambient light sensor make typing easier in low light. The large Force Touch trackpad serves as a mouse replacement. Thanks to pressure sensors, the MacBook Air not only knows where, but also how hard you press. This allows many control options that conventional touchpads cannot do - for example, different fast forwards in video playback or pressure-sensitive drawing

Enjoy significantly accelerated system and program starts: A lightning-fast solid-state drive (SSD) provides the necessary storage space for your programs and files.
